6th SPR Symposium on Pediatric Cardiovascular MR Imaging - December 10-12th - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
This is an intensive three-day course whose aim is to review the necessary basic knowledge in heart disease in children and the practical use of MR for morphologic, functional and hemodynamic evaluation. The symposium will consist of didactic lectures, free-form discussion sessions, and hands-on MR scanning and post-processing sessions. Please refer to the program for complete details.
Complete and mail the registration form postmarked by August 31st, 2008. Priority will be given to the radiologists and cardiologists who are primarily responsible for cardiac imaging in their departments. The registration form needs to be accompanied by a supporting letter from the department chief. We encourage interested departments to sponsor one pediatric radiologist or cardiologist to attend. If the respondents exceed the allotted slots, a wait list will be created and plans for a 7th symposium will commence.
This is a two-day course whose aim is to review advanced utilization of MR for heart diseases in children. The major topics of this year include: pulmonary regurgitation, aortic regurgitation and stenosis, functionally single ventricle, and MR-guided or directed procedures. There will also be discussions on recent advances in cardiac CT, PET CT, and echocardiography as well as MR techniques. The format of this course will be similar to prior courses consisting of didactic lectures and a free communication session.
Please refer to the
program for complete details. Attendees of the previous SPR symposia on Pediatric Cardiovascular MR are encouraged to attend this advanced course. Active discussion among the attendees will be encouraged in the free discussion session. We suggest the attendees to bring the results of their own studies or interesting cases for discussion. Please complete and mail the registration form by September 30, 2008.
